Body: Playing with Taggart's bluetooth mouse. Trying to reproduce a problem reported with Python, but ran out of disc space. Ugh. The problem is with a >2GB tar file with more than 3 million entries. Creating that many empty files was an issue. I guess I'll have to try on a machine with more space. Good thing I have a few of those. Chatting with everyone. Trying to load http://mindset.research.yahoo.com/ but it was slow. This is the Yahoo site which allows you to select if you're searching for products or information or the like. Figuring out what to do about the hackathon in September.

Body: Worked on pymon some more, making good progress on the refactor. Moved monitor (twisted factory) created out of the main tac file and into an "engines" file, since the way the factories are created will affect the application as a whole, and for different tunings, different ways of creating the factories will be used. I also started to stub out the code for HTTP status checks and HTTP text checks. If I wasn't so busy with paying work, the next pymon release would be out already. Such is life.

Body: Matt Taggert showed me wmi window manager (wmii is the next generation), munin auto detecting rrdtool framework, and the somewhat unfortunately named nagios exchange, nagiosexchange.org. Finished checking port of vpostmaster to debian testing. Started installing ubuntu under qemu emulation (for more vpostmaster porting).
