Updated the "multi-distro-dev" mini-howto, worked on my ugly InitiateCapture hack for the PTP camera driver within gphoto2-2.0, and enjoyed the conversations. A *BIG* thanks to Jonathan who, a few weeks ago, spent nearly an hour listening to my vexing serial communications problem. His suggestions lead to a solution just a few days later.
Chatted, virtually and in person about i830 video cards, IO and CPU bound applications, how to write xerces output to a network socket in C++, recipe applications and the .ca TLD. As usual, drank too much coffee.
Searched around for laptops that would meet my criteria. Was looking at the dell inspiron 4100, but they replaced it with the 4150, which is more expensive and gets very bad battery life. ;( Looked at the crusoe ones but they are too slow. Finally found the compaq presario 2800t. Looks pretty ideal. Looked around to make sure everything works under linux. Looks like it does. Might have to get one.
