Body: Working on the Northern Colorado Internet Coop's network. There was a problem with the BGP setup where when one upstream was down, it wouldn't fire data over to the other one. This was largely because we didn't realize that the iBGP session was advertising the external IP for the routes, not the one from the iBGP peer. An extra route on the one router to pass data to the other router to reach the other upstream's route, and it was happy. We also verified that a problem with the DSL router being slow every 57 seconds was related to BGP updates or housekeeping.

Body: Caught up on various blogs and orkut spam. Talked with Danf about screen. Tried to help Andrea setup wireless networking on her laptop, but didn't spend too much time on it before resorting to the wired net. Looked at info on the new Star Wars boxed set. Started setting up a dd image of a Linux server in the basement.
